The Day 8 of the Twilight Zone podcast Advent Calendar and our friend Josh Haired said, my question would be,

what is the most hopeless ending in the twilight zone and the most hopeful and why?

So Emmy, you go first on this one.

Such a happy question.

So in terms of what's the most hopeless, I actually have two answers because I kind of try to think of it as what's the most hopeless on sort of an

individual basis versus what's hopeless in terms of humanity because I kind of feel like those

are different questions. For, you know, hopeless for humanity, there's there's so much choice.

But I think that ultimately the obsolete man is probably

the one that stuck out to me and then that's not a massive favourite of mine I know they're

probably going to take my twilight zone card away for saying that but it isn't my favourite of

the episodes however there's no denying watching that one that you think, you know, is there,

if people were to follow along that path, is there actually any hope for society?

You know, we're just, we're just going to become compartmentalised.

So in terms of humanity in general, that is that was definitely the one that stuck out to me stuck out

to me for sort of on an individual basis I would probably say the lonely I think the lonely is just

such a sad sad episode where you know just the thought of of how it's going to live afterwards. It's just

a horrible, horrible episode. And I would not want to see his future. So those kind of were the

hopeless ones for me. Hopeful was a much nicer, nicer one to look at. And with it being Christmas particularly,

the one that stuck out to me
