The Day 14 of the Twilight Zone podcast Advent Calendar and a question from our old friend Joe Brown.

He says, what device had the most impact in the Twilight Zone episode?

So what Joe is getting at is that in several episodes there is an object.

We don't necessarily know the origin of it.

It just turns out to be where it needs to be for the story to take place.

So, you know, you have things like the piano in piano in the house,

the little bottle in Mr. Denton on Doomsday, you know, the slot machine and the fever.

So I'll go first on this one, Emmy.

I mean, Joe provided a list very kindly, and I think I was going to go with a most unusual

camera because even though it's like a lightweight comedy episode, three people end up dead

as a result of it because they fall out of a window.

I'm not sure looking down the list, there's anything quite like that.

So I'm going to cautiously choose this one, but I'm sure your answer is going to be a lot better than mine on this one

so no thanks um again I kind of cheated on this one because I went with a theme and chose two

objects that kind of fit the same theme so I went with piano in the house and the masks

because I like the idea that they both take

something, you know, an emotion, a feeling, a personality trait and they, that's already

there that is part of that person and they enhance it. So, you know, in piano in the house,
