I wonder sometimes why these characters appeal to me.

You could make the case that for the past two decades,

I've been rewriting the story of my senior year at Garfield High School in Seattle,

that I'm still the crusading teenager who wants to expose the bad guys,

even when it's risky. But now, I've got better tools to work with.

I've developed my reporting methods, and to be honest, a lot of my identity on the premise that what I do for a living is unquestionably good.
