0:13.4	I used to live in California near the Bay Area.
0:16.8	I was just south of Half Moon Bay with my daughter.
0:21.6	She was seven.
0:25.2	We were on the beach, and there was an undertow that day.
0:26.5	And I'm a strong swimmer.
0:27.9	I've done two triathlons.
0:30.8	But I kept getting pulled a little further, a little further.
0:33.3	I didn't think of it until I tried to swim back in.
0:38.5	And I couldn't swim back in with my seven-year-old on the beach by herself.
0:41.8	So did you have to be rescued?
0:48.4	People with boogie boards and surfboards helped me, and then they told me they had to help me they had to help a bunch of other people, and later on, this was like at 10 a.m.
0:52.0	As the day went on, helicopters were going up and down.
0:54.9	They're having to rescue tons of people and put out warnings.
0:57.7	The undertow was so bad that day.
0:59.2	But I thought I was going to not only die, but the biggest thought was my daughter is going to be abandoned on a beach.
