Welcome to Gr Cook Eat Arrange, the podcast of me, Sarah Raven, and today I'm joined by my husband, Adam Nicholson.

Hello, Sarah.

The reason that I've asked Adam to join us all is we were plotting and planning the podcast for the first six months of the year thinking about what themes we would like to cover and what guests we would like to ask to be on it.

And Josie Lewis, our haggartner, quite rightly pointed out that in our program we didn't have any with Adam.

And Adam is actually very popular with you as listeners. So we wanted to add him in. And I suddenly realized I'd never

asked Adam and we have never covered Sizzinghurst on the podcast, which is kind of a strange

omission in a way. It's a place that Adam was brought up in,

partly, partly in London, partly there. And I think it is a remarkable garden. And he has

sort of really nice insights, both to the deep history, which he's written a book about,

but also the history of his granny, Vita Sackford

West and grandfather, Harold Nicholson, and then more recently his father and his family.

And so I thought it might be really nice episode to chat about for half an hour or so,
