Actor Adam Arkin has learned a lot from being behind the camera, experience he put to good

use as a director on the second season of poker phase.

Actors can show up on set and go like, okay, the work can begin, we're here, what's going

on?

And I knew immediately when I was being exposed to that

as a director that it was something that for decades I had been doing myself as an actor, just

completely blithely unaware of the amount of blood, sweat, and tears that had gone into the

project before I even showed up. Arkin talks to Eric Diggins about the challenges of capturing

the distinctive tone of poker face's first season

and how series creators Ryan Johnson and Natasha Leone trusted him to oversee episodes he didn't direct.

And as the son of an iconic actor, he gets candid about the age-old Nepo Baby conversation.

anticipated, Warner Brothers Discovery has announced that it was going to split itself in half. This

is following the path blazed by Comcast with Versant, separating from NBC Universal.

Something that Bob Iger, by the way, has said he's not going to do at Disney, but Warner Brothers Discovery followed that lead.

So now we have two halves.

The streaming and studios company, which will be Warner Brothers TV, the film studio, DC, HBO,

HBO Max, and those big juicy libraries. And then there will be something called Global

Networks, where they will put CNN, TNT, TBS, the linear stuff, and that is going to be headed up by Gunner Weedenfels,

who is the feared CFO of Warner Brothers Discovery, well known for wielding a very heavy hatchet.
