Good Sunday evening where we live in a world where Anthony Davis will be a Los Angeles Laker

We've probably been talking about Anthony Davis being traded from the Pelicans since close to the inception of Dunkton over four years ago

Now it is finally happened he has moved on to the Lakers, Mr. Luru

What are the parameters of this trade the Los Angeles Lakers receive Anthony Davis the New Orleans Pelicans receive

Lonzo Ball Brandon Ingram Josh Hart the number four pick in the 2019 draft the Lakers

2021 first round pick it only if it is one through eight if it is not one through eight then they get the Lakers

Unprotected first-round pick in 2022 so that is reverse protection based on what is typically there then the Pelicans have swap rights

Unprotected in 2023 and then in 2024

They either get the Lakers unprotected first-round pick or have the right to defer that until 2025

Wow that is just a haul this is more

Draftpicks than we've seen traded since the trade to which this is being compared to a little bit that Brooklyn Celtics trade back in 2013

We're worth for calling about that trade by the way because we're gonna go through a lot of some of the comparisons here

And this is a much bigger haul at least as it looks right now for the New Orleans Pelicans than any of these teams

Have gotten in these superstar trades with one or even two years left on their contract

But worth remembering that that Celtics net trade also included the Celtics taking on three years and 30 million dollars

Which is basically equivalent now to three years and 60 million dollars of Gerald Wallace in that trade

And then a bunch of the Keith Bogeyins had to be signed and traded to make the trade

Like there's a lot of bad money going back to the Celtics there as well

Which was part of the consideration in addition to Paul Piss, Pearson and Kevin Garnett and Jason Terry

So just to remember that about the trade as well though the Pelicans do not have to take on any bad money in this trade
