in Lafayette, Louisiana. So then the Word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem,

and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith.

That means temple priests?

Yes.

Okay.

Yes.

So this is the effect that it has, right? Now we have the deacons being added to the mix with their own ministry here. This has the effect of again re-energizing sort of the community. So it's continuing to spread. And now even priests, and why is that important?

Well, remember, we talked about those are the Sadducees. Those are the people who just hauled them

before the Sanhedron. Right. So even the people who are sort of most opposed to Christ,

this group of people. People who believe in the resurrection. Right. These people who are most opposed to Christ and to the apostles, as we've seen so far,

even some of them are starting to now embrace Jesus as the Messiah and come into the Christian

community.

And as we're going to see, as you might expect from their reactions previously,

this is not going to help win over the Sanhedrine and the rest of the Sadducees.

This is going to cause them to see the Christian community is even more of a threat

because now some of our own people, some of our own family members, because remember this is a threat because now some of our own people,

some of our own family members,

because remember this is a familial,

some of our own family members now are going over and, yeah,
