Reformed Church, but now an Orthodox priest serving at Archangel Gabriel Orthodox Church

in Lafayette, Louisiana. Okay.

So we'll go ahead and get started here in just a minute.

When we get started, we're going to pick up at the beginning of Acts of the Apostles

Chapter 11.

Like I always say, by the time people are hearing this on the internet, the first Bible study

of the book of Acts will be up there for you to go back and listen to for the introduction

to the book and all of that.

In terms of today, I'm going to be helped a little in my recap because as we begin in

Chapter 11, St. Peter is going to sort of

recap what happened to chapter 10. So as we're reading that, we'll get caught back up by him.

But just in general, just sort of get us back up to speed with where we were.

We had read about at the beginning of the Book of Acts, St. Luke, it sort of retold the story of Christ's ascension into heaven that he had ended his gospel with.

And then we had read about the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the disciples gathered in Jerusalem.

And the beginnings of through the apostles preaching,

the conversions of the beginnings of the church and their life in Jerusalem,

that led up to the death of St. Stephen,

whose relics were found today many centuries ago,

but we just celebrated today.
