four. Peter has just got done delivering his second sermon. So we got sermon number two.

This one, just as good as the first.

And he tells these guys, hey, you guys are really, really wicked.

I'll tell you that.

I know that because you killed God.

But it turns out it's all God's plan.

Yeah.

This is all God's plan to bring you to himself.

Now, the question is, what's the reception to this word going to be?

Do they all repent?

You know, do they ask someone to go get the sackcloth, locate the ashes, and let's get this thing underway?

We're going to find out right here in chapter four.

I mean, it was just barely over a short chapter ago that we were told that the church had favor with all the people.

Well, we're going to find out that that doesn't hold very long.

So picking up chapter 4, verse 1, and as they were speaking to the people, the priests and the captain of the temple and the Sadducees came upon them.

Greatly annoyed because they were teaching the people and proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection from the Sadducees came upon them greatly annoyed because they were teaching the

that the Sadducees would be upset about that in particular, since for whatever reason, they sort

of made that their bone to pick, theologically, with Jesus and with the Pharisees, for that matter.
