Welcome to Searchlight, a survey through Scripture with Pastor John Corson.

It is our desire to bring you a systematic study of the entire Bible, chapter by chapter, book by book.

Here on Searchlight, we are in the middle of our final teaching in the book of Acts.

In this last chapter of Acts, we are following the Apostle Paul as he is traveling to Rome.

Now this is an all- expense-paid trip to Rome, courtesy of the Roman government.

That is because Paul is a prisoner who is on his way to stand trial before Caesar. This would be a situation

that would get most people down, but Paul is different. Paul trusts that God is in every

aspect of his life and believes that God will give him continual ministry opportunities,

and this brings joy to Paul's heart.

As we join our teaching today, Paul is leaving the island of Malta and setting sail on another ship toward Rome.

With our study, here now is Pastor John.

And after three months, verse 11, we departed in a ship of Alexandria, which had wintered there in the island

of Malta, whose sign was Castor and Pollux. The captain now commandeered another vessel.
