Today on Searchlight, we will be concluding an important teaching about ministering to people.

This teaching is part of our verse-by-verse study through Acts chapter 20.

We saw that the first step in ministering to others is to take heed to ourselves.

That is, we need to make sure that Jesus is real in our lives.

Then we learn that we need to feed people that Jesus is real in our lives.

Then we learn that we need to feed people the Word of God

and warn them about people who intend to harm them.

As we join our teaching today,

we are considering the importance of not coveting material things.

With our study, here now is Pastor John. The former things are passed away, the word says, and they are not remembered anymore.

Now think about that. Next time you're so worried about the petunias.

Not only are they going to evaporate, but neither you nor anybody you were trying to impress

with the petunias, no one will even remember that they were there.
