Today on Searchlight, we are going to talk about one of the big mistakes that people and churches make

in their walk with the Lord. We began talking about this on our last program as we looked at the

life of Abraham. Abraham was living in a city that was a center for prosperity and culture. It was a

happening place, but it was empty. As we pick up our teaching today,

we will see that when God comes into Abraham's life, he becomes an altered man. With our study,

here now is Pastor John. And then he heard the voice of God calling him, and he said, man, I will gladly leave this emptiness, this shallowness, and I'll follow you when he takes off. And what does he do?

Wherever he goes, he builds an altar on his way to the promised land, just worshipping, loving. And also, as he was traveling, God began to prosper him more and more,

and his flocks began to expand, increase numerically. So he digs wells to make sure that the flocks are

properly watered.

Well, his son Isaac comes on the scene and says,

wow, look at dad's flocks.

Look at all these sheep.
