Paul preaching that long sermon, you know, that all day into the night, and there's a poor guy,

and he loses the battle he was overcome is what

Luke says he didn't just surrender he fought but he lost and fell asleep and fell out of window

who among us hasn't had this happen we've all been there who among us don't but paul says

don't worry about it this This guy is still breathing.

Let me keep on.

I got some more stuff to say.

And it turns out he lives, and this is great.

And they were not a little comforted by that.

In other words, they were greatly comforted.

And that's kind of where we ended.

And Paul's like, hey, this is my last sermon.

I had to make it a good one. I had a lot to say. I got it all out. Let me get on this boat. That's it. And so continuing on in the Lucan narrative, verse 13 of chapter 20, says, but going ahead to the ship, we set sail for Assas, intending to take Paul aboard there, for so he had arranged intending himself to go by land.

And when he met us at Ossus, we took him on board and went to Middalen.

And sailing from there, we came the following day opposite Kios.

The next day we touched at Samos, and the day after that, we went to Miletus.

For Paul had decided to sail past Ephesus so that he might not have to spend time in Asia,
