Welcome to Searchlight, a survey through Scripture with Pastor John Corson.

It is our desire to bring you a systematic study of the entire Bible, chapter by chapter, book by book.

Over the past couple of Searchlight programs, we have been listening in to an argument from Acts

Chapter 15. The argument is about how we are saved. Paul had preached to the Gentiles a salvation

of faith alone, but he was followed by some Jews who told the new Christians that they must also

keep the law. Ultimately, the argument was brought before the elders in Jerusalem,

and we saw that Peter offered a defense of both Jews and Gentiles being saved by faith alone.

Let's now join Pastor John and see how people respond to Peter's defense of salvation by faith.

Then all the multitude kept silence.

They were amazed at what Peter was saying.

They were really touched by what he was sharing.

And they gave audience now to Barnabas and to Paul who declared what miracles and wonders God

had wrought amongst the Gentiles by them.
