1:12.7	and it is an argument that is still being discussed today. In our study of Acts Chapter 15,
1:19.5	we see early members of the church arguing about what it takes to be saved. Paul had preached
1:25.3	salvation through faith alone. After he left town, some Pharisees
1:30.0	who became believers came and told the new Christians that they must also keep the law to be saved.
1:35.9	As we join our teaching today, the matter has been brought before the elders in Jerusalem.
1:41.5	As we listen to their arguments, we are considering a key understanding regarding
1:46.0	the law, and that understanding is that you can't legislate righteousness. With the explanation
1:52.6	of this, here now is Pastor John.
1:56.4	They believed in the Lord, and then they were changed by the Lord.
2:01.6	They were purified after they believed.
