Welcome to Searchlight, a survey through Scripture with Pastor John Corson.

It is our desire to bring you a systematic study of the entire Bible, chapter by chapter, book by book.

Here on Searchlight, we have been studying through the Book of Acts.

So far, we have seen the power of the Holy Spirit falling upon believers who have rejoiced

in the finished work of Jesus on the cross.

But these first believers were exclusively Jews.

In our recent study, we saw that God revealed what would have been shocking to the Jews at that time.

The Gospel was for both Jews and Gentiles.

With this new revelation, we are seeing a turning point in the ministry of the early church.

Now the Gospel is going to be preached to the Gentiles in earnest for the first time.

With the story from Acts chapter 11, here now is Pastor John.

Now, they went up to Antioch, and here we see a real key turn in the book of Acts.

A base is about to be established for the missionary work into Gentile territory, eventually on into Europe. Antioch,
