I think that given the environment and the movement that had already been well underway and being publicized, gave me a certain amount of courage and strength to say, you know what, the time is now.

You know, why now would I not say something?

In May of 2018, actress Sarah Scott was shooting an intimate scene for a TV pilot when she

says she was assaulted by a fellow actor.

Scott knew almost immediately that she wanted to report him, but the options of where to report

were limited.

So she turned to her union, SAG-AFTRA.

But from the start, she says the guild seemed uncertain how to proceed, even when a second

accuser came forward.

The SAG-A-FTA ultimately found the actor guilty.

The penalty was not much.

We talked to Scott about her struggle to be heard and her hope that the union will do

better in the future.
