Welcome to episode 2,857 of the Daily Meditation Podcast. I'm Mary Meckley and I welcome you to day four of our series. We are already midweek through the theme we're exploring. Re-c reclaim your mental focus.

You have been on a challenge this week where every day you are invited to go on a

freedom quest where you consider the kinds of distractions that seem to plague you and allow yourself to break free of these distractions

at certain points throughout your day. So you might pause in the afternoon and think about

what kind of distractions you're experiencing and in the

evening as you go to bed at night you might think about what distracted you most

during the day and then think of how you can begin to let go of these distractions

and throughout this week's series you've been focusing on what matters most to you.

So think about what it is that you'd like to be thinking about.

You're going to be thinking about something in advance before you even start your day maybe before you

even get out of bed reflect for a moment on what kinds of thoughts you'd like to

experience throughout the day set yourself up for good thoughts all day long you'll be surprised by what a difference this makes in

your attitude and especially you may notice as I have this week you get so much done. I've

been able to focus on projects I've been putting off for a while simply by letting

go of little distractions. I find that most of my distractions throughout the day aren't necessarily

big events that are happening. I find that for myself, it is the daily small interruptions

that wreak the most havoc on my mental focus. So in today's meditation, you're going to be

guided to reflect on what kinds of thoughts you'd like to be thinking throughout your day.

Set yourself up for success this way.

You'll be amazed what a difference it makes in your life.

So as you settle yourself down, straightening up your spine, close your eyes, gently elevating them upwards.
