| 0:27.3 | Theresa May's government passed legislation which commits the UK to net zero carbon |
| 0:31.8 | emissions by 2050. This made the UK the first of the G7 nations to put such |
| 0:37.1 | climate commitments into law. |
| 0:38.3 | And whilst we know this action is welcome, legislating for such a commitment is the easy part, |
| 0:43.3 | and now we're at the hard part about enacting it. |
| 0:46.3 | And that's the real test for the current and future governments. |
| 0:49.3 | Our acting on Net Zero now infographic proposes five policies that could be put in place immediately |
| 0:55.3 | in order to get the UK on track and achieving its goal. |
| 0:59.7 | On the panel for this event were Ed Miliband, MP for Doncaster North and chair of IPPR's Environmental |

| 1:15.0 | And then we also heard from Leah Davis, who's a senior advisor to the deputy mayor of London. |
| 1:20.8 | Our event began with an introduction from Green Alliance's policy director, Dustin Benton. |
| 1:26.3 | We are in a climate moment, and this is a rare, subversive moment. |
| 1:33.3 | People are in the streets, kind of protesting, climate in action. |
| 1:36.6 | Two-thirds of the public want faster climate action. |
| 1:39.8 | They're ranking above immigration, above the economy and above crime in their list of concerns. |
