We start with the class action lawsuit against the federal government over President Donald Trump's immigration crackdown.

The American Civil Liberties Union of Minnesota claims ICE agents violently arrested or detained U.S. citizens who were minding their own business.

The defendants named include the Department of Homeland Security and its reporting agencies.

The group is asking a lower federal court for an emergency order to stop ICE and CBP's use of suspicionless stops and warrantless arrests.

A DHS spokesperson tells CNN the allegations are

quote, disgusting, reckless, and categorically false. DHS secretary Christy Noem said this earlier

today. Every single action that our ICE officers take is according to the law and following

protocols that we have used for years, that this administration is used,

that the previous administration used, they are doing everything correctly.

Noam says she talked about the Interaction Act with Trump, who threatened to invoke the centuries

old law to send U.S. troops to Minnesota to quell anti-ice protests, but says the decision is up

to him.

Teresa Nelson, the director of the ACLU of Minnesota,

pushed back in an interview with MS Now.

Those threats to essentially deploy the military against the people of Minnesota,

against protesters and immigrants is authoritarian, it's unnecessary, dangerous, and wrong.
