Well, hello there. It's Morgan here and welcome to today's episode. Today is day four of five of a

series where I am sharing the most highlighted sentences from inside of my app storyteller that I've

written. So the one that I want to share with you today is this. Acknowledge the value that

others bring, especially when it comes to things that are

often overlooked. When I read this back within the context of the most highlighted sentences,

one of the things I immediately started thinking about was how acknowledging the value that others bring isn't just

like a one-time thing. When we start to create language around noticing things that other people

are doing, that's something that can grow and it has reach beyond us. So I'll give you one

example of what that has looked like in my life. And I really like this example because it's

something that happened virtually. And because I think sometimes it can be so easy to focus on

the, of course, very serious serious very negative things that get transmitted

virtually and this was just a positive moment that I was so grateful for and I try to keep

sowing seeds of that so if you're not familiar a lot of my my practices informed by writing and making art in direct

response to things that people share with me. So in 2017, I invited people to send me a DM

with their story and I would respond with art. And I still do that to this day. So there was a particular time, though, I decided, and I do this

every now and then where no one has, no one has necessarily sent me something, but I will see that

someone is liking a post of mine on social media or they've engaged with my page in some way. And sometimes just as a

way of saying thank you, just as someone who communicates with art and poetry, that's, that is just

an active part of how I communicate. Sometimes I'll respond, thank you in the form of a piece of art, even if they haven't sent a story to me.

So there was just one particular time that I ended up on this person's profile, and I didn't see very much about them or their story, but just by a few things they had written in their bio, I immediately

thought, you know what, this person just seems as though they have a sense of bold, audacious

joy. And I just said it that particular way. So I was like, was like okay well that's when I tell them thank you
