The Good and today we're mixing it up. We're talking about gardening tools and I guess in a little

bit of a different way we're just talking about the simple

gardening tools that are more or less must-haves and I kind of have my list which is

probably going to be a little different than David's list but I'm curious David

what are you what are the ones

that you just can't live without? It's funny over time it's really evolved like I

used to use a spade and a fork for all of my double digging kind of like John Jeeven style

double dug bio intensive type mounded beds right and then I ended up getting a meadow creature broad fork and that pretty much eliminated my use of the regular fork.

Like the little fork, you have to dig it in the ground and twist it and it only goes like 8 to 10 inches deep or something like that and I've got this broad fork that is less work and it covers a broader space and it goes 14 inches deep so I can make those beds with a broad fork and I just hate like the

feeling of shoveling and forking it's like hard on my back and my stomach

muscles and everything it just doesn't feel like it's not fun to just like sit there and twist and dig and you know I mean

this one demonstration video that John Jeevens's guys did on YouTube they keep talking about how nice, fluid, even motions, it's not hard at all.

It's like, it's like they actually are protesting a little bit too much like my wife is just going, my gosh they're saying it again they keep

telling you how not hard it is and they've got these nice attractive young people

like digging real slow you know I feel like if someone needs to tell you a

million times how not hard it is, it might be hard.

Right, right, and I like exercise, but I don't like some of those repetitive twisting, you know, twisting and digging and hunching over type exercises.

So the broad fork is really nice because it's almost like the rowing machine.

You know, you kind of just like roll back and forth with the handles and it digs,

it digs for itself.

It like the point of it sticks in the ground and just kind of rocks back and forth and it's it's fun. You know my wife can do it. She was out there in like in a pretty skirt, you know, like it's just going back and forth all 112 pounds of her, you know like it just going back and forth all 112 pounds of her you know like
