You know, I find it more and more evident every time I record the morning mindset how much I need

God's help. And that's why I always invite you to pray with me before we dig in. So let's do

that once more. Our Father, we do need your help. We want you to show us how these accounts from

hundreds, thousands of years ago, are relevant to us today. And especially today, as we see that

Abraham's blessing is our blessing. Lord God guide us in understanding.

We ask in Jesus' name. Amen. Okay. As we've been walking through God's story, our current

series, we're in episode number 14, and God has chosen a man named Abraham, who had nothing to offer to be his man.

And he's chosen to bless Abraham.

And he says to Abraham, here in verse 26, verse number four, I will multiply your offspring as the

stars of heaven.

And will give to your offspring all these lands and in your offspring, all the nations

of the earth shall be blessed. Now think about this for a moment. He's got Abraham out in the night sky

looking up at all the stars. And this was a pre-industrial age. So there's no cities, no light

pollution, none of that. I mean, imagine the stunning, dazzling

points of light in the dark sky. And he's telling Abraham, you, who had a hundred years old,

have received my promise that you're going to receive a son from your 90-year-old wife. You are

going to have offspring descendants as numerous as the stars you see above.
