What is the most outlandish promise you've ever been given? Well, today in Genesis

Chapter 17, we are going to hear a pretty amazing promise that God gives to an old man named

Abram and his wife, Sarah, as we continue in our God's story series.

We're in episode number 13 of the series.

So if you want to start at the beginning, go back a couple of weeks in the archives and get

started at the beginning.

But today we're going to be talking about a miracle child of promise as we get our minds

aligned with the truth of God's word for this day.

Okay, friends, before we begin to Genesis 17, I'm asking you to pray with me that God will be our

instructor today. Lord God lead us. We need your help. We need your Holy Spirit to be the one who instructs us,

guides us, and gives us illumination. We ask it in your name. Amen. Okay, Genesis 17, 15 through 19,

God has called Abraham. He has given him this promise that he will be a blessing to all the people of the earth.

And now here in verse 17, God extends that promise. He says,

As for Sarai, your wife, you shall not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall be her name.

I will bless her. And moreover, I will give you a son by her. I will bless her, and she shall

become nations. Kings of peoples shall come from her. Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed and said to

himself, shall a child be born to a man who is a hundred years old? Shall Sarah, who is 90 years old, bear a child?

And Abraham said to God,
