One of the things I've come to love in my life are my noise cancellation headsets.

I don't understand the technology really.

In fact, one of my friends Ray sent me through Twitter an explanation for how my headsets

work, and after I read his explanation, I'm still completely confused, because when you

turn those things on, it blocks out all the noise you do not want to hear.

And it does not block out the noise you want to hear, or at least the sounds, because

I turn them on, and I'm watching a movie, and I can hear everything so clearly.

And everyone's right, I'll turn them off, just to see if they're working.

And then I hear all the noise that I am completely unaware that's all around me that I turn

them back on and have a world of absolute silence, except for the sounds I want to hear.

What's happened in our life, because I have my set, and Kim has her set, that we not

only use them, and we travel, now we use them when we go to sleep.

It really started with Kim.

She started wearing her noise cancellation headsets to cancel me, because it frustrated

her that she goes to bed before I do, and she goes to sleep before I do, because she gets

up at 4 in the morning to milk our cows, which we do not own.

And she goes to sleep so early, but sometimes I'll stay up, and I'll watch ESPN, or I'll

catch up on HBO, or I'll watch a movie, and of course I grab popcorn, and they bring
