Good morning everyone and welcome back to another mornings with the masters.

We're to devote ourselves to the Lord daily with you.

We are picking up with day two of our devotional in the Bible

up titled The Upside Down Kingdom.

There's a link to that in the description if you guys want to

follow along and as always I'm going to read the scripture that I'm also going to pick

with the Devo and two quick preferences number one if you missed day one of this

plan yesterday be sure to go check that out as it really sets the tone as we're working through the beatitudes from Matthew Chapter 5 in order.

And it kind of sets a tone for the importance of wrestling with tough

scripture like this. Yeah and then the second preface is that this devotional

is like really in depth and so I'm going to do my best to

read it in a way that even those who are commuting to work it's easy to digest so

hanging there with me on it it's super informative which is awesome, but there's a few different

kind of segments so I appreciate your patience as we try to navigate this one together.

Okay, the devotional is titled, When Loss Becomes Gain, the scriptures Matthew chapter 5 verse 4 and it says this,

Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted. The devotional says

For philosopher and theologian Nicholas Wolsterstorf, grieving the death of a loved one,

describes the universal scope of suffering in his book,

lament for a son like this.

Suffering keeps its face hid from each

while making itself known to all.

We are one in suffering.
