I'm Susan Swafford, and there is a monster in our closet called abortion.

I got involved with helping people, primarily women, who have gone through abortion because

of my own experience.

I was 27.

I found a note in the door telling me that my former husband was leaving me. And not too long after I had found out I was pregnant and I didn't know a soul. I didn't have any family that lived here. I didn't know what to do so that was what I did do. I didn't know that there was any other options. I didn't know how I was going to feed a one-year-old and a three-year-old.

Never mind a baby and how to take care of that baby. So I lived in, I would say, a downward spiral for 10 years.

I remember just driving down the interstate and wanted to crash into a wall.

I didn't know the Lord then, so the only thing that kept me going was my two little ones.

I met who I'm married to now, Gary, and he did not know I had an abortion in my past.

I knew God put a calling on my life.

And anyway, I ended up telling him about the abortion that I had, and I said, I'll go with you.

He wanted to go to our pastor and tell him his passion he has to save babies and the need for it.

I said, I'll go with you, but my secret's my secret.

At some point, I felt like the pastor wasn't understanding what my husband

was saying. So I told him my background. And I believe now that it was the Holy Spirit that was

leading me. He prayed over us and everything. He said, so what do you guys want to do? He said, we have no
