This is hell and we really got to start mixing up these taglines more because we use this one a week ago to open the show or maybe just maybe bear with me here

the law enforces a lot of what really should be a crime.

Things like, I don't know, exploiting others, which is immoral and unethical and still somehow,

not a crime. It's as if there are some people, a very powerful few, let's say, who are

benefiting from exploitation, who also have a hand in writing the law that allows them to exploit people.

Some sort of public-private partnership between the government and politically influential,

I don't know, people of means, if you will.

There's few better places to find that corrupt relationship

then between the state and property owners, developers, realtors,

and landlords.

They shape the way our cities are imagined.

They dictate who is allowed, where, and when.

They destabilize and profit from that instability in our increasingly precarious world many are left to feel there is

little to nothing they can do when suddenly property changes hands, rents skyrocket, or management refuses to properly maintain someone's home.

This tenant landlord relationship in capitalism also fuels inequality, leaving a select few in homes whose value increases more than the median income
