I want to talk to you on this podcast about abiding in First Love.

Abiding is about dwelling. It's about living and remaining in the space that God is created between the Father and the Son.

Jesus said in John 17 verse 24,

Father, I desire that they also whom you have given me be with me where I am.

Isn't that great thought? Be with me where I am.

Isn't that great thought?

What it means is our privilege is staying in the place of belonging

and being the beloved. You belong to God. You were bought for a price and he redeemed you. Your heart, your life, everything belongs to God. That means also your problems and your difficulties

belong to God. Everything you are, everything you have, everything you're in, everything you're going through.

Any suffering, any difficulty, any persecution, everything about you belongs to God.

So he is in every single thing, and he's saying,

I will never leave you I will never forsake you you belong to me

and all your current life circumstances also belong to me as well. I think that's why prayer is such a

fabulous deal because you get to have a conversation with God about everything. We just get to dialogue with God. So Lord I'm going

through this. How do you see it? What do you see? What am I missing? How do I stand in this? What do you want to be for me now, Lord?

That's my favorite question is. Lord, what do you want to be for me now that you couldn't be at any other time?

I love that question. You know because God is open 24-7.

He's always available, always up for a conversation, always. I in them and you and me. So that

may they may become mature in our unity loved by you in the same way that you love me.

That's John 1723.

Just as the father has loved me, so have I loved you, abide.
