So Abby and mom are doing one thing together they have never done before for the first time in April and you guys are tight.

Yeah, we've gotten a lot closer as we've gotten older.

Like it wasn't always like that.

Like I grew up in the kind of household

where the parents were parents and the kids were kids.

And I feel like

a moment in every parent's life where all of a sudden they wake up and they're like, oh, this is like an adult person that I raised and we can actually be friends.

Is there usually like a tipping point, like one thing that happens that makes them see you

differently or you think it just comes over time probably when you start paying your own

insurance that that helps but for me it's been somewhat more recent like I feel like the

first couple of years since I lived in my

hometown there was still kind of like that parent child dynamic of well I would just

see them on the weekends or we would hang out by the pool every now and then.

And there didn't really seem to be much of a break

between like when I was in college

and then when I graduated,

just because it all kind of melded together.

And then when I moved to this city to work here, I feel like it kind of switched to flipping my

parents mind that they're like, oh my God, like our kid is an adult like out here existing.

It'd be really cool to actually be friends with this person.

This isn't summer camp this is really you in real life.
