Aaron Judge's back. Hometown discount. Scott, he wanted to stay in New York, so he took less money to stay with the Yankees. Poor man's going to be out, you know, collecting change out there because he's only signed for $40 million a year. Highest ever annual value for a position player. Hey, good for him, man.

I'm glad this whole thing's over, to be honest. Last night was a roller coaster of emotions,

as everybody knows who has Twitter, John Heyman coming out there, you know, reporting on what he thought

were good, credible sources for the way that judge was going to sign. Obviously, they were wrong,

which very thankful because, yeah, I think it would have been a catastrophe. I think it would

have been a catastrophe. I think that the Yankees absolutely know that. And that's why we hear

about, you know, how and, you know, going direct and making sure that he was the guy talking to

judge, getting those final questions in and essentially closing

the deal or giving the OK. You knew that Steinbrenner understood how important this signing was,

this man in particular to this team, the fan base, the city. It was to me beyond baseball.

You had to sign it. You had to do the thing. You had to make sure, as the New York Yankees, you could not let Aaron Judge, the face of your franchise, go anywhere else. You just couldn't. Yeah, because no matter what they else, what else they did this offseason, had they not re-signed judge, it would not have been a successful offseason in most, if not everyone's mind going into

next year. So it was a must as we talked about every episode since the season ended, and

especially in that GM episode. So the Hayman, the Hayman fake report that he went to the Giants.

Arson Judge. Arson Judge. That sent people into a spiral, into dark place i know you said he you know do you

believe there was how why did he report that because i think that he did get credible information

it was just credible fake information honestly it's really hard to to identify what these got
