My eighth book, A Year of Compassion, 52 weeks of living zero Zero Waste, Plant-Based and Cruelty-Free,

came out this week. And I have been juggling all of the interviews and launch details

and launch events with writing podcast episodes. And turns out, yes, I am human and have limited abilities

and bandwidth and time. And so I did not want the next episode to be an announcement again,

but I didn't want to not say anything. So I am here to say, thank you for your support.

We did have a bumpy ride with its release. It's been really frustrating because apparently Amazon didn't have the copies. I don't know what happened. I haven't gotten a satisfactory answer

from my publisher. So it's a bit of a disappointing

launch. And so a number of you who pre-ordered or ordered through Amazon have been told that

they're delayed. The books are delayed. So a lot of you who want the book right away, which is very

sweet, are canceling your orders on Amazon and buying from other vendors. Now I have provided a list.

I still have an affection and affinity for Barnes & Noble, even though you might not like it

because it's a chain store, but that's where David and I used to work when we met back in the

90s. And you can also just go to your bookstore. I was also sending out all the signed copies

and we did send out hundreds of them. And now I'm working with our local bookstore called

Mrs. Dalloways. They are handling all of the signed copies, meaning they have all of the signed copies

there at the store and they're fulfilling the books, which is a lot easier for me because guess what? It takes a lot of time to go to the post office. So all that's to say is, however you buy the book, I'm grateful for your support. I do think this is the book that you can give to every friend and family member to inspire them, to live more compassionally and sustainably, cruelty-free, plant-based, all the things.
