speak with me today. So one thing that's very much on the mind of voters this year is of course

immigration. Over the past year we have seen federal immigration officers descending on

Los Angeles and unleashing some pretty brutal tactics on not only immigrants but protesters.

I would love for you to speak to what you see the Sheriff's Department role is in immigration

enforcement as well as cooperation and possibly collaboration with federal immigration agencies.

And I really do understand the fear and anxiety,

because if you understand where I come from, my background,

that my father migrated here from Sinaloa, Mexico.

My mother was born here in California,

but only because her family was part of the Bracero program.

So they were farmers up in Central California.
