Summary

David Smith was married to Maureen Hindley, sister of Myra. On one night when Myra asked him to walk her home, he could never have imagined the scene of utter horror he would see at a normal house on the outskirts on Manchester.

David Smith later described Saddleworth Moor – the scene of such horror – as: ‘Hell’s garden, an abyss where devils play and souls can never rest. I hate the place with a passion’.
