That is the latest dire warning to Iran from President Donald Trump on social media this morning,

who added, quote, I don't want that to happen, but it probably will. He has given the Iranians until 8 p.m. Eastern tonight to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, and if they don't, Trump says the U.S. will bomb bridges and power plants, which experts say could amount to a war crime. Again, it's not clear if Trump will follow through on its threats to escalate the war later tonight. But what happens if he does?

That's the small island near the Strait of Hormuz, where nearly all the country's oil is exported from. The U.S. official said the strikes did not target oil facilities, though.
