Hi, I'm Dave. I've been walking for fitness since 2013, averaging about 21,000 steps a day.

We're spending a week together in Washington, D.C. yesterday.

Took a 10-minute walk along first street northeast east side of the capital U.S. Supreme

Court and the Library of Congress. Today, the National Mall, starting on the west side of the

capital. In fact, I'm right here at the steps of the U.S. Capitol. It is here that Ronald Reagan, the first U.S. president to hold his inauguration ceremonies on the west side of the capital,

overlooking the National Mall and then the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial.

And every president since,

has been inaugurated on these steps.

And I actually attended President Reagan's first inauguration.

I was in college, we lived about an hour from D.C.

And I just thought, hey, I'm free on January 20th.

It'd be kind of fun to see a president inaugurated.

And of course, you needed tickets.

And at the time, you got those through your senator, U.S. senator.

So I called our senator's office.

And I think there were six of us in college together.
