But there are other ways to do democracy. Indeed, our cousins across the pond have an election

this week on July 4th, no less. And so if they were going to honor us by holding their election on our nation's Independence Day.

It's a fascinating discussion and it really is an interesting election. It is a

change election. But let's go ahead and get things started. This is Tom Merritt of Daily Tech News Show. What's going on?

You know, I love the audacity. That's the first thing I'll say. The audacity of not only calling an election before you have to,

when you know you're going to lose.

I think everyone will agree that Rishi Sunak and the Conservatives retaining the majority would be a huge upset.

But then setting the election for July 4th, you know, Independence Day.

Just to rub it in the nose of the Americans.

Why are they so obsessed with us, Tom?
