A young woman, who is the daughter of a friend of mine, reached out to me a few weeks ago with a complaint of recurrent bacterial vaginosis in spite of treatment with appropriate

prescription medicines.

I was slightly disappointed that her provider had not given her any additional

therapies or recommendations to alleviate her constant symptoms when the antibiotics just weren't

working for her. So once again, I thought, maybe my listeners are dealing with this same

problem and can't get

recommendations beyond prescription antibiotics.
