Now the shotgun's starting golf is full of mathematics, there's a lot of a lot of setup work that we have to do in order to make a tournament work, so I'm going to demonstrate to you just exactly how we do a shotgun start here.

Greetings and welcome to a Wednesday edition of the Shotgun Start. It is June 15th, Andy. How are we doing?

Brendan, I am, I'm swell, you know, this is a delightful day. It's a US Open Eve, it's 72 in sunny in Boston, I can't think of a much better day than today.

We are in Boston proper, this is the big time for us, this is like making it through like local and final qualifying.

I don't know about final, I feel like we just got through local.

Well, we are at like an official kind of staging area, we were, you know, yesterday, it kind of feels like we have defense.

Yeah, absolutely. At the precision pro house, yesterday, we filmed at our countertop height, like in this, you know, table at the kitchen.

And people were saying, your feet were in touch in the ground. And here we're like set up behind this official USGA dais and, you know, your feet, you can hide your sort of, well, I got an adjustable chair.

Yeah, there you go. So you're down, you know, I can be a little bit lower. This is a real stage. You're at the high street, please, high street, place, food hall.

It's in downtown Boston, it's the site of the USGA's 19th hole for the rest of the week through Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. They have podcasts.

We're kind of the lead off hitters here. I know there are other, maybe more substantial podcasts coming in behind us.

But if you're in Boston or you're at the US Open, you want to go downtown, there's a Celtics game tomorrow night, a game six of the finals.

So it'll be probably pretty cool to be downtown if you want to come to the 19th hole and then just hang out after the golf.

So thanks to the USGA for having us. Also, the US Open starts tomorrow. That'll be on peacock at 6.45 a.m.

It's like the rare coffee golf that's like Eastern time United States, obviously through the rest of the United States.

It's not just European coffee golf. 6.45 a.m. It'll be on peacock. And that's all day on USA and a bunch of different places.

Yeah, get up. Turn it on stream. Then it's on USA and golf channel after that. So it should be a great term.

And the country club is going to be a great host. Hey, Brendan, speaking of lead off hitting, who do you think the best lead off hitter is on PGA tour?

That's a good question. Or the US Open in the US Open. I mean, Mark Leachman's a good option, right? At all times, kind of getting the ball in play.
