Welcome to our Rosary meditation.

Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Amen. Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

We need a two-part plan for Lent, human and divine. Yesterday we focused on

the human and today the divine or spiritual part of our plan.

Our spiritual plan for Lent needs the following ingredients

daily meditation and examination of conscience, confession, daily mass, and helping others grow spiritually.

Now, Lent is about conversion and growth in our conversion.

The infallible means to growth in friendship with Jesus and conversion from vice to virtue is daily meditation.

The catechism suggests two ways to do daily meditation.

One through Lexio Devina, that is, prayerfully reading the Bible or through the Rosary.

Either way, in meditation, we should do three things.

We listen to God by reading or recalling his word in scripture, in tradition,

and in the teaching of the church. This is the way God normally speaks to us. Then we reflect

or think about what God has said and what he has done in order to understand it, to

love God for it, and to form firm convictions.

And then we form a resolution to put into practice what God has said to us that day.

Now if we do this every day, we will convert from vice to virtue,

and we will grow in holiness.

But if we do not do this, and we will grow in holiness.

But if we do not do this, we will not convert, we will not grow.
