Welcome to the Andy Staples show, Turning the Tables Edition. When I hear from this guy, it usually means I've got to go on somebody else's show.

So I'm making him come on my show.

You know him as McLevin on the Dan Patrick show.

His name is Andrew Perloff.

We used to work together at Sports Illustrated.

And Andrew, I got called in for the Dan Patrick show this week, and it was my favorite situation.

And by favorite, I mean least favorite.

Every time it feels like they call me, unless there's like some major game result that we want to talk about.

Usually it's offseason, some sort of weird rules thing going on,

and I have to explain some sort of in the weeds college rule thing to a casual audience that does not care about the rules of college sports.

So for me this week, it was the Alliance.

I got to tell you, so we were on vacation last week.

I was in Williamsburg, Virginia.

and Todd Fritz start texting, oh, this is huge. We got to have some guests next week. Then it comes the weekend and I start looking at the story. So the alliance, does that mean like that we're going to see USC play Ohio State next week or Clemson and Northwestern are going to be a rivalry, and then I'm like, well, scheduling is it going to be affected just yet?

And then I read, well, a lot of details are not, are not really, uh, are not really, uh, I don't know yet. So I'm like, well, what the heck is this story? Then we started, uh, talking about who should we have on a guest? Of course, our first choice, Heather Dynich, and now she came on Tuesday.
