Those who are serious about their faith in God have learned to give voluntarily to their local church.

Some give spontaneously, others give a portion every month

it's determined by their income.

Today, on Insight for Living, Chuck Swindall presents a helpful message on the practice of tithing.

This 10% method goes all the way back to Genesis.

So here's the question.

Does the practice of tithing have any relevance to life in 2024?

Corinthians, Chapter 9.

You must each decide in your heart how much to give.

Don't give reluctantly or in response to the pressure

for God loves a person who gives with hilarity, literally, gives cheerfully.

God will generously provide all you need.

You'll always have everything you need and plenty left over so you won't be left

penniless by giving generously at the heart of it all is the continuation of a tenth never

obliterated, never removed, left there,

but also with that come gifts that come for special reasons.

First century needs were much like our needs today.

Special offerings for benevolence,

special occasions where individuals needed help, and the believers in the church's game.
