Bless Ted Rosenblatt's heart, he kept everybody update on Rod's condition as he was declining.

And to see the Lutheran family rally in prayer was pretty awesome.

And then you start to see the comments coming from people

all around the world who will recount story after story after story not only of

Rod's generosity financially to people in need, but they all

tell the same story.

I heard the gospel imputed righteousness from this guy.

This guy is the one that talked about law and gospel. This is the guy that

got me back to the reformation and it's just thousands of folks and they all tell the same story

in different ways. It's all about the gospel. Justification, he would always say this and but it was also the is not one doctrine among many.

It's the heart of remembering a dear friend to all of us and in a particular way to

Kimbarger, Ken Jones, and myself, Mike Horton, as we were able to know

Rod Rosenblatt up close for over 30 years and the big part of our journey together in this this

pilgrimage towards the city of God.

Dr Rod Rosenblot was born on January 3rd, 1942, and died on February 2nd, 2024.

Rod was

raised in Lutheran pietism, but his dad was an amazing person. He talked about him all the time.

And I would recall having Bibles spread out all over the table open and Rod would just sit in the corner watching as a little boy watching these men sitting around the

table talking about the scriptures.

And I went to Pacific Lutheran University and the Evangelical Lutheran Theological

Theological Seminary in Columbus, Ohio and was in what was then the American Lutheran Church that became part of the mainline

evangelical Lutheran Church in America and thereafter very quickly lost its integrity, theological integrity, that whole
