and we begin this afternoon with a stunning plea from the family of a survivor of Jeffrey Epstein.

It has upended the furor Donald Trump faces over the Epstein case. The family of Virginia Roberts-Jafray,

who was one of Jeffrey Epstein's most well-known accusers,

has released a statement last night

about remarks Donald Trump made on Tuesday.

On Air Force One, Trump had said that he fell out

with Jeffrey Epstein because he, quote,

stole employees from him, including Virginia Roberts, Jafray.

On that, the family says, quote, it was shocking to hear President Trump invoke our sister

and say that he was aware that Virginia had been, quote, stolen from Aralago. It makes us ask if he was

aware of Jeffrey Epstein and Galane Maxwell's criminal actions,

especially given his statement two years later that his good friend Jeffrey Epstein likes

women on the younger side. No doubt about it. We and the public are asking for answers.

Survivors deserve this. And on the possibility that Trump may pardon Epstein accomplice,

Galane Maxwell, the family says

this, quote, Galane Maxwell is a monster who deserves to rot in prison for the rest of her life

for the extraordinary violence and abuse she put not just our sister Virginia through, but many other

survivors who may number in the thousands. The nightmares of being

trafficked never left our sister even more than 20 years later. She would wake up screaming

about what happened to her. The government and the president should never consider giving

Galane Maxwell any leniency. Maxwell destroyed many young lives and she was convicted for only a fraction
