Ecclesiastes 3-1 tells us,

for everything there is a season and a time for every matter under heaven.

This is a time to slow down and reset, nurturing your body and soul.

So find a quiet space,

relax and get comfortable.

Take several slow, deep breaths,

centering your thoughts on God with you. Now let's settle in and begin.

God has made everything beautiful for its own time.

Ecclesiastes 3, 5, and 11

The summer is flying by, and I'm holding on to and savoring slower days

and trying not to jump ahead to fall before this lovely season is over.

Living in the South, I've discovered the pleasure and joy of porch sitting.

Porch sitting lends itself to being present with God while enjoying my morning coffee or afternoon iced tea.

It helps me notice my neighbors,

and it gives me space in a fast-paced world to daydream.

A little daydreaming is good for the soul.

The Bible tells us of the importance of embracing the now moments.

Psalm 118-24 says,

This is the day the Lord has made.
