Summary

Today’s word of the day is ‘emergency’ as in state of emergency. A high-rise apartment complex in Miami collapse on Thursday morning with people in it. People are missing, a search is ongoing, it’s a catastrophic nightmare. Let me explain to you the role that local professional teams play during these times. What can they do? What can they offer? (15:15) Rick Carlisle is set to be the coach of the Indiana Pacers. From Dallas to Indianapolis. That wasn’t the most interesting part of the Carlisle hiring — he openly campaigned for Jason Kidd to get the Mavericks job. Just the type of guy Mark Cuban should NOT want in Dallas. (21:02) Kevin Durant vs Scottie Pippen got into a little beef. Pippen called out Durant in a GQ. Durant went back at Pippen on Twitter. (30:45) Review: Hunger. (35:42) MLB is doing All-Star uniforms this year. Players will not wear their home and away jersey. MLB made jerseys for this year’s game and fans hate them. Why does MLB continuously drop the ball? (40:45) NPPOD. (44:40) Max Scherzer’s next start is coming on Sunday. It’ll be must watch. Sorry Marlins.  Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
