This is talk easy. I'm Sam F holiday special. Thank you for being here.

For the past four years, we have put this special out around the holidays.

If you've never heard them before, they consist of me checking back in with the people that came on our show over the past 11 months.

They also tend to run about two hours long, but this year,

as we were cutting this together, we had a kind of embarrassment of riches.

So for 2020, in a year of improvising, we're going to mix it up.

Today is part one of our holiday special and then next

Sunday the 27th will be releasing part two. For the sake of time I'll save most of my year and reflections for next week.

For today, I wanted to share something. Around Thanksgiving, we announced our vinyl record with Fran Leibowitz.

To those of you who purchased the record, it will be with you shortly, but I also wanted

to say, thank you. Some podcast people in my life thought the idea was a little

insane, a podcast on a record, but the response has been incredibly positive. So I just want to thank everyone who bought the vinyl and continues to listen.

But we also realized not everyone or even most people have a workable record player.

So we wanted to figure out something that everyone could use.
