When I think about how bad 2020 was, I don't start at March when lockdown happened.

I think about January 2020 when we lost Kobe Bryant, because it was such a shock to

see someone who seems so invincible, pass in such a tragic way.

Well, now the Los Angeles Lakers are honoring his memory with a statue that's going to be

featured outside crypto.com arena.

Hi everyone.

As you know, Kobe played his entire 20 year MBA career as a Los Angeles Laker.

Since arriving in the city and joining the Lakers organization, he felt at home here,

playing in the city of Angels.

On behalf of the Lakers, my daughters and me, I am so honored that right in the center

of Los Angeles, in front of the place known as the House at Kobe Belt, we are going

to unveil his statue, so that his legacy can be celebrated forever.

I pray they have an artist that does him justice, because they have been some statues built

of people and when they were unveiled, they weren't the tribute that thought they were

going to be.

You don't know if it's him or magic.

So I'm just, I'm hoping they got that, because I mean, in that person, whoever they choose,

got a lot of pressure to make sure you do it and you do it right.

I think this is a great way to honor him.
