It's like when you throw a rock into a pack of dogs,

the one that yelps the loudest got hit.

And whoever criticizes you the most is the person who's under conviction and so I take that as a form of

you know compliment and then when people get mad at me for telling them the truth

I know I hit a nerve, praise God.

So in verse 18 and the third type of ground, these are they which are sewn among thorns such as hear the word and the cares of this world and

the deceitfulness of riches and the lust of other things entering in choke the word and

it be cometh unfruitful.

Again, I believe there's a progression.

The first type of person is a person that doesn't even have a heart for God,

isn't seeking God.

They don't ever focus on it. It just is on the surface. They never really

understood Satan steals it. The second person is a person who's excited,

but they don't take time for the word of God to get rooted and grounded. They're more concerned about what other people

think about them than they are, what God thinks about them, and Satan uses that to steal it.

If you pass those two things, then one of the things Satan will come against you with is the cares of this

life, the deceitfulness of riches and the lust of other things. In other words, he'll just choke

the word out of you because it takes time and effort for the word to work. And you can't just
